Lavender flox in Mud Lake Forest!
There’s joy in beauty:
Beauty and joy
Go hand in hand.
Beauty and joy!
Beauty and joy!
All around in the forest I see;
All around in the forest I hear;
All around in the forest I smell;
All around in the forest I touch;
All around in the forest I taste
God’s joy in His beauty.
This I see.
This I see
All around me.
Beauty and joy,
This I seek
Here in the forest,
Abundant and free,
All around me.

Late Winter

Blue snow,
So cold;
Black earth,
So dead;
Red sky,
So warm;
Blue heaven,
So sad;
Grey trees,
So close;
Grey soul,
So sore.

Lake DesChĂȘnes

My God,
How you paint the sky,
So beautifully feathered
In pink and red
And lavender and purple
And orange too,
And a touch of wine,
Delicate and deep,
Soft and rich
Against a bright blue heaven.
I, too, am rich
With the joy of your creation.
The day is darkening.
The sky is brightening.
Then it is darkening.
The geese are landing;
Smoothly gliding
In the ruby red
Of the sun’s bed
When this day is shed
And poplar leaves call me to my bed.

Lac Gauvreau Chez Dora

Sparkling rainbow crystals
Of pure white snow
Dazzle my eyes,
And then I see
An outstretched circling hawk
Silhouetted black on blue
In an awesome depth and hue
Of bright sapphire sky;
Then a blue jay flashes by,
And I no longer need ask why
God created Cy.

la Ciotat Cliffs

A Gorgeous moth has come to me
Way up here above the sea,
To share the sun upon these rocks
And listen to the waves that talk
Of time and space,
And gulls that face
The winds that push
The waves that rush
To turn all white
As they alight
Like a lacy gown
Upon rocks of brown,
Like milky froth
That trims the moth
Of black and brown and orange dross,
Sunning itself on golden moss;
Only us aware of time
And emerald seas and moss of lime.
A million years have passed away;
Our lives are like a moments stay;
For this moth and me
Who shares this sea
And a moment in eternity.
